it’s 2k18 can we stop thinking of ROBB STARK as only this bland, moral, honourable, dumb for love character who made a mistake.
he outwitted TYWIN FREAKING LANNISTER at sixteen. he captured the Kingslayer and refused one on one combat with him, thus deframing his own honour and pride, because he knew better. he’s smart and calculated.
and he had the WOLF BLOOD. he was shown to have a temper, easily provoked by Joffrey. not to mention his outburst after hearing Ned died or what he plans to do in KL.
it was heavily implied he could warg & had such a great relationship with Grey Wind. ignoring GW was a big point that led to his death.
he loved his family, and Theon. he played Knights for Sansa, in Bran’s words he completely changed to become this persona of THE LORD where he was blunt af with Tyrion.
he didn’t marry Jeyne out of hormones and angsty teen love. most people think it was for honour. he didn’t want to leave Jeyne to suffer a bad reputation, that is a huge aspect of it. but as i’ve shown, Robb didn’t put honour above the mission. i think it was because of Jon as well. it was because he took her maidenhood and didn’t want the chance of fathering a bastard who’d be treated like shit, because he had a bastard brother he loved and saw how that goes.
Robb was loyal to a fault, and he had honour, of course he did, being taught by Ned. but he is so much more.
you have to remember though that PEOPLE WERE TERRIFIED OF ROBB STARK. it’s written all across any chapters in the Riverlands, especially Arya’s. it wasn’t just the fact he was looking like he might win, it was a primal fear. they created such mythos around him.
and the show can’t even remember he was ever King.
he makes me think more of like a Brandon, sometimes. he’s just so amazing & interesting & unexplored.
